2008
…so far it’s been great!
Well here we are smack dab in the middle of 2008 and the band is playing better than ever. Most shows have been a blast and the good times just seem to keep rolling along. We’ve said goodbye to some venues, and hello to others. Private parties seem to be happening for us more these days than in the past. That said, some of the venues we’re been back to year after year are really starting to take off as well. Oldies by The River at Jefferson Barracks Park this June was amazing. Couldn’t have done it without the great support by the staff over there and by all of you for coming out. Couple that with low humidity and temperatures, and what you have is one a fabulous evening.
We’ve had our fair share of rain-outs as well. The St. Peter
& Paul Homecoming in Collinsville lasted about half as long as
we’d hoped, due to torrential rains and ferocious winds. Lightning was
the spoiler for our show at the Amphitheater in New Town out
in St. Charles this year. We were just cranking it up and had done about half
the first set when the venue had to be cleared due to sudden cloudbursts and
spectacular bolts of lighting hitting the ground. Yow!
Still doing monthly gigs at the old standbys Smitty’s, Llywelyn’s
and Fandango’s. Thanks for all your support over the years, and hope
to see you at a show real soon.
